It’s time to meet the SLBP Senior Creator Team Class of 2024! Each year, we have a photoshoot to officially announce the team. This year it took place shortly before the holidays. These girls and I have been working together for a while now and you’ve probably seen their faces on my socials, but I wanted to “officially” announce them and tell you more about who they are.
We decided to take this shoot indoors – mainly because it’s cold out there 🥶 – but also because I like to switch things up now and again. The Class of 2024 team had a little bit of prep work for this shoot. I asked them to bring along an outfit that says something about who they are. I also asked them to write a short bio.
Since my new studio space wasn’t quite ready, another local small business owner helped me out by letting me use her space for this shoot. HUGE thanks to April Bumbaugh at Adroit Athletics! Side note: If you are looking to join a gym for some resistance training, personal training, spin classes or boxing…you have got to check out Adroit Athletics! April’s gym has everything you need without the stuff you don’t (no meatheads, & no waiting for equipment). And April and Gianna do NOT disappoint if you are wanting to work up a serious sweat (for real, their classes intimidate me a bit, lol).
OK, back to business. When you join the Senior Creator Team, you get some very stylish branded stuff. This year, the team got the cropped hoodies you see in these images! One of the purposes of the Senior Creator Team is to learn how to represent local or online businesses and create content for both your social media and the brand’s social media. And, helping me to build my brand is a big part of the team! We do a TON of other stuff throughout the year as well so it’s no problem if someone isn’t super into being a content creator. But, it is fun, and the team loves the chance to get some money and/or free stuff by working with brands.
Here are some of the group images from the shoot!
The girls on my Class of 2024 SLBP Senior Creator Team have so much energy. I love working with them! They are all dancers, but they each add a different element to the team. Three of the Class of 2024 SLBP Senior Creator Team members are from Mars Area High School. Two of the girls dance on the same competitive team. One of the girls is from Hempfield Area High School. They have made me laugh, taught me TikTok dances, created a new trend with my color calibrator target (stay tuned for some Insta footage of that), and put up with my never-ending passion for taking lots (and lots) of images.
Here’s a bit about each of the girls on the team:
“Hey! I am Riley Hoadley! I’m a competitive dancer at Studio 19 Dance Complex and I am on the Mars Dance Team! I have danced since I was three years old and have done competitive dance since I was seven years old!
My goal after high school is to go to a four year college studying sports marketing or sports medicine. I also will try out for my college dance team (if they have one!).
One thing I will remember most from high school is definitely going to school, to dance team practice, then to dance, and lastly go home very late and have to do school work (those days are the hardest and most exhausting but I will forever cherish it!).
To all underclassmen, never give up and shoot for your goals! You only have four years and I can definitely say they go by so quickly so live it up!
Working with Stacey has been a joy, there is so much choice and opinion on what you want when you shoot with her! And so many laughs when you are behind the camera!”
“Hi, I’m Morgan Verellen! After high school I plan on attending Slippery Rock University to get my undergraduate degree in Recreational Therapy on an accelerated track to get my Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
I am a competitive dancer at Seton Hill University Dance Academy and have made my best memories throughout high school with my team.
I really enjoy Stacey’s creativity and how she knows how to capture the real me. I always have so much fun working with her.“
“Hi! I’m Dalaney and, apart from being part of the SLBP Creator Team, I am a competitive dancer and I’m a part of the Mars Dance Team and Mars Musical!
After high school I plan to go to Duquesne University and major in Forensic Science as well as be a member of the Duquesne dance team!
The one thing that I would say to underclassmen is live in the moment and don’t stress! Not everything is as big of a deal as it seems and no matter what happens you will come out the other side!
The thing I love most about working with Stacey is the girls. They are all so nice and welcoming and I couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else!”
(Emma wasn’t able to attend the photoshoot, but we didn’t want to leave her out! Here are a few images from her senior portrait session.)
Hi! I’m Emma Bostedo! I’m a senior at Mars High School, who is involved with competitive dance, dance team, and my high school’s musicals. I am also a part of National Honors Society and French Honors Society.
After graduation, I plan to attend college to study marine science.
The thing I will remember most about high school was the musicals, they were such an incredible experience all around!
I would tell underclassmen to try new things and get out of their comfort zone, they might find something they really love!
