I am loving this season of senior photo sessions, and Raegan’s senior session was no exception! It’s been such a busy fall (and I’ve loved every minute of it) that I’ve been a little behind on blogging so here’s me catching up!

Raegan chose Mellon Park for her senior session, and as always, we were having so much fun that we ended up shooting until after sunset. It was so dark, in fact, that my camera wouldn’t grab focus. What you DON’T see in the image above is Raegan’s Mom, Jeanine, hiding behind the tree shining her cell phone flashlight onto Raegan so that my camera would focus! Raegan is an avid reader (at last count, she has read 130 books so far this year!) so I was super happy to be able to create this image for her. It ended up being one of her favorites!

When Raegan saw this tree, she asked if she could get photos in it and I said, “Heck, yeah!”. Funny story…I turned around to change my lens and when I turned back around mere seconds later, Raegan was halfway up the tree. In heels and a dress no less – you go, girl😉! Since I wasn’t about to climb the tree, lol, I got her to come back down and nestle into this cute nook to get this image. I love when clients have ideas for their senior photo session!

Raegan nailed her outfits and this first outfit was one of my favorites. The blue REALLY brought out her blue eyes and made them pop!

Mellon Park was the perfect backdrop for Raegan’s session and, once again, the weather did not disappoint! We got a little nervous when the skies got dark towards the end of Raegan’s session but Mother Nature did me a solid yet again. Literally seconds after we got in our cars it began to rain. We were super thankful to have gotten the session in without getting rained on!

Raegan brought along her own props for her session – some of her favorite books! She even thought about the colors of the covers to add interest into her images. As I mentioned earlier, Raegan is an avid reader. Once she opened a book during her shoot, she would often get lost in it and forget that she was in the middle of her senior photo session! That allowed me to get some really relaxed, candid images of her engaged in one of her favorite activities!

Raegan has such a cool laidback vibe about her and I truly enjoyed getting to know her during her session and in the weeks before her session as we talked about her vision. Here are some fun facts about Raegan. She went on a cruise to Spain, France & Italy over the summer. Crickets terrify her, but she is okay with most other bugs. She has a strong dislike for bucket hats 🤣. And, her family loves to spend time in nature, often camping off-the-grid.

Fall senior season is winding down, but don’t rule out winter for an epic senior session! Snow images can be gorgeous…if you’re brave enough to tackle the cold temps 🥶. Studio sessions are also available. For info, reach out via our contact form!
