Spring weather in Western PA is so “iffy” this time of year. One Saturday I had an engagement session and it was sunny and in the 70s. The day of the Hempfield’s 2022 Prom (my alma mater), it was rainy and a chilly 50 degrees! To accommodate Mother Nature, we changed our photo location to Greensburg Country Club. The Club is always a gorgeous venue for photos!
This prom was a special one for me as it was my youngest niece, Camryn’s, Senior Prom (hold on while I grab some tissues…). Camryn and her date (her boyfriend, Andrew) looked absolutely stunning! Despite some not so subtle “persuading” Camryn even let me do her makeup. She typically goes makeup free and with her gorgeous skin I don’t blame her one bit! But for Prom, I wanted to glam her up…just a bit. I am an 80s girl, ya know;) Camryn is in the red gown.
Camryn and her group of 15 friends all braved the chilly temps and rain to get some pre-prom photos done by yours truly:) We all had a ton of fun snapping pics, dodging LOTS of cars (why are the best locations always in the middle of the road, lol), making boomerangs, and getting to know each other! These seniors looked absolutely ahhh-mazing! Prom gowns have come a long way from the poufy, bow-filled, hoop-skirt numbers that were all the rage my senior year.
The Grand March was held at Hempfield Area High School before everyone headed to Stratigos for a night of dancing “New York” style. From the snaps I saw on social, it appears that Hempfield’s 2022 Prom was a fun soiree! Here are some of the photos from the day!
